The perfect way to explore Rutherglen and discover some of the region's iconic wines and delicious food options.
A progressive picnic lunch with a difference, your Seasonal Food Foray starts at 11am at The Pickled Sisters Cafe. Collect your meals for the day here and perhaps start with a morning coffee before heading next door to Cofield Wines to enjoy your first food and wine match.
From here, make your way to Pfeiffer Wines, Stanton & Killeen Wines and Andrew Buller Wines, enjoying an entree sized meal at each winery. The four dishes are matched to a glass of specially selected wine from each of the award winning wineries - be sure to leave time for a wine tasting at each cellar door!
Perfect to drive, or why not hop on a bike and combine with a leisurely cycle along the Wahgunyah to Rutherglen stretch of the rail trail.
Cost: $85 per person. Includes all four food and wine combinations and detailed tasting notes.

picnic hampers

At The Pickled Sisters Cafe we have a range of take home catering options available for your BBQ, picnic or get together.
Gourmet hampers and BBQ packs are available for a minimum of two people and require 24 hours notice. Platters/cakes are available for a minimum of eight people and may require up to 48 hours notice.
Hamper baskets are complete with crockery and cutlery (no glassware). Alternatively, a fully disposable hamper box with eco friendly cutlery and crockery can be provided for an additional $3 per person.
Final numbers must be given 24 hours prior to the event and will be billed accordingly.
Any special dietary requirements or variation in dishes will be happily discussed.
